Sometimes its just doing something for the fun if it.
That was this week when we were tasked with doing a self portrait in the style of Picasso 😱
Not sure if it looks like me or more like Ned Flanders though 🤦♂️
So I sat with the idea.
I broke it down to the stages I have learnt.
I sketched, first breaking it down into basic shapes and then refining the lines – it’s a little odd drawing a face in two different orientations at the same time!
Then I decided on the background and just went for it.
Sometimes it’s just a case of diving in; trusting in your knowledge, your experience, your skills.
And enjoying the process.
With my painting I have challenged myself in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I started back in April of last year.
Now, I’ll have a go at painting anything, trusting that I know enough to create something.
And I am also getting much better at doing that in my life too.
Looking at things from a place of “Ok, how do I do this?” rather than “I can’t do this.”
Sometimes it’s just about having fun and giving it a go, trusting that you have the knowledge and skills you need.
Where in your life are you avoiding doing something because you don’t believe you can?
Much love xx
